What is Swingweight?

Swingweight is a measurement of the club's balance point and weight distribution. Generally, D0-D2 is standard, and D3-D5 is on the heavier side. This measurement significantly affects swing feel and control.

How to Adjust Swingweight

  • To Make Heavier: Add lead tape to the clubhead or replace with a heavier grip
  • To Make Lighter: Replace with a lighter grip or shorten the shaft
  • Using Lead Tape: Apply lead tape to the back or sole of the clubhead - approximately 2g increases by 1 swingweight point

Importance of Shaft Selection

The right shaft improves both distance and accuracy. Consider torque, CPM, and flex when selecting. Using a shaft that matches your swing speed enables consistent ball striking.
